Well, I guess my friend was right. It is difficult to find true friends in poly. Partly because RP makes a change class every semester. Anyway, it's only 7 schooling weeks. She remains as a friend but I wouldn't treat her as nice as before. She will only be a lunch time company.

XX times to Hatyai, Thailand
(29 September to 2 October)

This trip was an impromptu decision. 2 Changs and 1 Ang bought the tickets on the day itself and had the upper deck of the coach all to themselves. This means that my parents could fart all night long. Poor me :(

I have lost count of the number of times I've been there but one thing for sure - it was a yearly(sometimes bi-annually) affair. I feel it is OK to endure the long ride but damn, why have they (Malaysia) not renovate the public toilets? Some food from the pit stops not to be missed - Prawn noodles and Ramly Burger.

My main motive was to embark on a gastronomic journey but it was only 70% accomplished. I didn't get to savor food from the night roadside stalls. We knocked out pretty early. There goes my Som Tum, oyster omelette, duck noodles, cheng tng ... ...

This is our first visit to this restaurant called Sawoei which was recommended by our hair dresser. It was a pleasant experience. My favourite was the chicken feet. Yums.

Though this is the XX trip to Hatyai, I had my first times too - Thai traditional massage and fish spa. My masseuse kept complaining to my mum's masseuse that my legs were tough. Hello, I learnt "Khaeng" (hard in Thai) from my Thai lesson, ok? And wait till she have her hands on my mum's. She might just quit her job on the spot.

I had a tank full of fish to myself until two Thais came to join me. See, that lady opposite me attracted all my fishes (and her friend's). Bet she has got thick layers of dead skin.

The day before we boarded the double deck coach (G***** D*******), the lady boss of another agency('friend' of ours) warned us that GD coaches had problems. One had its tire punctured, the other had engine problems. Our coach had neither of the problems but we also had a sucky encounter. The air-con was faulty. Not sure if the lower deck was suffering as well but the upper deck was filled with smell of medicated oil and whining from a group of Thai ladies. At one point of time, I had difficulties breathing. Fortunately, an uncle seated behind me took the initiative to check out that rectangular thing and opened it. Everyone on the coach cheered simultaneously. If not for it, the coach will reek of vomit from 20+ human. No amount of air refreshners can relieve.

Our Gap in Shining Armour - life saviour. The lady in yellow was the happiest. If it wasn't for the slot, she could have been the first to have fainted and will not be laughing out loud to the Thai comedy that was showing on the tiny screen.

The driver drove us to an ulu place to have the air-con repaired. Thank you, Mr Mechanic

I got bitten by an anonymous insect at Changi Beach on Friday night and it swell slightly the next morning. I didn't feel any pain or itch so I went ECP as planned. Who knows there were some miscommunication between Auntie A and Auntie B and I had to walk the whole stretch of ECP with my backpack (with a laptop) and a pair of roller blades on each hand just to find a secluded jetty. On Mother's day, I woke up and cried to my mama. My left leg had swell, resembling a elephant's leg. Guess that's the consequence of provoking and murdering ants on Vesak Day.

Residents of Toa Payoh should feel lucky I stopped growing my plant last week. Carmen, if you are reading this, my small pot could have flew to your house and hit your head.

Unhappy things aside, I had my first driving lesson on Sunday. It's really fun! But the engine stalled for a couple of times. It's so difficult to control the clutch while moving off.

Hatyai '09 April

I know, I know, it's the 10000x times i've been there but I must admit that I love this place as a short getaway. Other than the long coach trip and dirty Malaysia toilets, I would definitely recommend people there. Also, with the chaos in Bangkok, isn't Hatyai a better choice? But seriously, why can't our neighbouring country beautify or at least clean their toilets? I don't wanna shun lizards everytime i'm peeing, bad for my urinary system ok?

Lee Garden Plaza - I was standing there waiting for my mum and her friend and it started snowing out of a sudden. I thought, this can't be serious right? The Thai boy next to me also watched the white foams fall in amusement. It fell on my hands and my conclusion is, someone upstairs was having pillow fight with Soo.

This is the 33 year old "midget" who was on the news few weeks back. Saw her at a stall coincidentally and many people soon flocked to the area and took photos with her. My mum and auntie Cat was no exception. The auntie in yellow immediately took out a plate and asked for donation. Clever.

Insomnia

Gosh, I didn't sleep for the whole day on Sunday. Must be the 8 treasure tea, KOI milk tea and the teh-o. 3 cups of tea can keep me awake for the whole day, could be a saviour if i'm rushing projects next time.

Anyway, it was quite a meaningful Sunday morning as I joined the elders to market. Since it was the Qing Ming season, my dad drove us to explore the cemeteries near Whitely. It was quite an eye opener to me cos I don't have any deceased relatives at the burial grounds.

Few days back, I finally decided to get rid of the two wilted stalks in my mini pot of plant. While clearing them, I made a discovery - one of my plants was infested. Initially, I thought it was some white wooly stuff only but when I used a stick to pick it out, several big fat small skinny bugs dropped down. There seem to be few hundreds of it. They even invaded the stick. Of all plants, they decided to live in mine. Hey, my neighbour has got bigger, juicier ones.

Q: When was the last time you fell down?

I had my fall a couple of hours ago. I think it's been years since I last fell down and this fall was really funny. I was more afraid of the embarrassment than anything else. I was walking on a poorly lit pavement right beside a canal while replying to Carmen's sms and tadah, my right leg fell into a hole and I fell on my knees and knuckle. I stood up nonchalantly taking less than a second for fear of hearing laughter coming from behind. Come to think of it, it was dim! I guess there wasn't much attraction.

Just minutes before the clock strikes 12, let me wish myself a Happy 18th Birthday. Finally can buy 4D and learn driving =D

On the very start of the day (12 am), I was tearing, feeling very upset over my father's matter. In additional, the Chinese physician felt my pulse and told me that it is faster than normal which implies that my heart is slightly weak. After learning that, I really felt that my heart is weak. If he hadn't told me about it, I wouldn't keep thinking of it and aggravate my condition.

Had quite a number of surprises today. From Fatty Neo and April, Rulan and E46J, tlj (this one was very unexpected, I called her back and she sounded like she was going to hang a pig head on my door). Lots of wishes too :)

This post is special, specially dedicated to my beloved Fion who's currently studying in Canada. She misses the food, the company and the life here. So we had made it a deal officially on Oct 28, Singapore time 1.57am. This mission is titled CA4-SG5 and the aim is to support our travel adventures, our honeymoon etc.

Yesterday, someone asked me when was the happiest moment of my life. I was stumped, not knowing what is the answer. However after about 2 hours of chatting with Fion on the phone, i'm certain of my answer. That is, happy moments with Fion.

Went to Javier's house for his sister's first month. Dad brought me and mum to check out Punggol area. Pretty cool estate. Dark long roads for some adventure.

Attended the briefing on the job and then dinner with tlj at Whampoa. Attracted curious eyes for the amount of food we ordered. A fish head steamboat, gong gong and ngoh hiong hei ji. Not that much, ya?

Saturday and Sunday
Worked as a promoter at Plaza Singapura. Was grouchy initially but starting to like it for its slackness. Love this kind of job man. All the promoters gathered at one area and chit chat openly under cameras. Not so stress like IT shows and got television and internet for entertainment.

There was a jam on my way home. I really didn't know there are so many Indians in Singapore. The whole street was filled with people, on par with Chinatown during CNY. And those shop which selles their costumes were FILLED. Really packed like sardines. Great buisness. One lane was closed "naturally" for human traffic leaving only two lanes for vehicles. Guess that explains the jam...

For the past week, I overslept everyday and on a fine morning, my pillow case even came off. Seafood and late night ;)

Firstly, I'm free grouchiness! Rejoice!

Yesterday night, Uncle Billy treated us to a seafood dinner at Whampoa. We encountered the hardest game of tic tac toe. After about an hour, we managed to conquer the game and settled down. While waiting for the eng chai, stingray, lala, sotong and crab which was coated with thick layers of chilli, we were served with crispy Ah Hock oyster omelette. I could feel my lips swell up each time the kangkong entered my mouth. Nevertheless, it was a yummy dinner. Thank you Uncle Billy and tlj!

After they left, I went for the second round at the same place. Couldn't resist the fried potato and tau kwa. It was then to my house downstairs for some gossiping and chatting with aunties (my mum and aunties) till 2am.

Goodbye, bad week

This week was bad. Everything just wasn't smooth. Sorry if I gave anyone attitude these few days. Every human who interacted with me was just irritating lah. I could only see the negative part. It could be stress, it could be PMS, it could be annoyance or just pure fatigue. Anyway, like what tlj mentioned in her text, tgif! Two more days and I will have a fresh beginning, a new phase of life.

Another suay day... Sigh. Please stay away from me this week ah...
I guess this is the first time I am writing in the midst of lesson. Really too sian not to voice out my unhappiness. So this was what happened. I did this slide but my team mate presented it. Well the probability of this occuring may be high but the slide I did today was commented as "very good slide" by the facilitator. To add to my discontentment, she didn't want to put in the slide initially.

And I cursed out loud twice today. Bad image =X

Am I really THAT stupid?

Today quite suay. Woke up late. Dad sent me to Novena to go school on my own. The moment I step out of Woodlands station, it rained. I had to climb two overhead bridge. Next, my team got this exploded hair guy and this malay guy. We were discussing on the worksheet. Nevermind if they ignored me for some questions.

Then come to this question:
The cost of driving in Singapore is high due to the taxes on vehicles like COE and ERP. But why do many people still continue to drive?

I answered for status, is it wrong? Then why did you fucking laugh at whatever I said? 2nd meeting faci came to discuss the worksheet questions, he also mentioned for status. Really stupid. Was so angry that I wanted to eat Ramly burger infront of that malay guy.

Then, I finished the calculations ages ago but they chose not to believe me. Last few minutes then chiong on it.

Yesterday morning, when I was falling asleep at around 3.30am, I was suddenly awoken by a sound coming from my DS. "Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games!" was what sent my heart thumping. The volume slowly lowered down and I peeped outside to the living room. I stared there for a few seconds looking to see if someone woke up to play. It wasn't bro nor grandaunt. It was a black rectangular box maybe the size of a DS. It flew towards the direction of the window within seconds. With this in mind, I recalled that there were several occasions when I was awoken by the typing sound of the keyboard.

On the very same day, my auntie was driving along Geylang. There was an SBS bus lifter by a tow truck. I have no idea why I looked at tthe lower part of the bus. Guess what I saw? A pair of slighty aged and dark legs adorned with bermuda shorts and slippers...

Met up with tanlijun after like n years, at the pool! But I didn't embarrass myself with the swim suit. I was there to observed. I didn't have to play my DS even though it was there to accompany me while tlj wades in the pool. People who go swimming are weird man. Well, most of them are Chinese (nationality not race).
